1. Discoloration on Walls or Ceilings

Discoloration is also one of the earliest symptoms of water damage. You can see yellow, brown, or dark spots on walls or ceilings. These stains are usually found close to bathrooms, kitchens, or roofs. 

Paint can also be patchy or stilted. By discoloration, this normally implies that water is leaking behind surfaces. Even minor stains may indicate existing moisture issues. Treating them at the earliest stage eliminates additional destruction and molds.

2. Peeling Paint or Wallpaper

Another typical indicator of moisture problems is paint or wallpaper that peels, bubbles, or cracks. Water undermines the attachment of surfaces and finishes. This makes the paint peel or the wallpaper loosen.
